Colorado floods have taken out bridges, and destroyed homes and business locations the state of Colorado.  How many people lost valuable information as a result of this disastrous event?  Were these people saving the most critical information in a safe location like in the cloud?  It is very important for businesses to remember to backup their most valuable data to a safe location in case their business facilities are struck by natural disasters like floods and fires.  Private Cloud and Public cloud computing are not the same.  Public clouds protect your data by storing it in a Data center specifically designed to protect information stored on multiple servers in multiple locations for example in a different state  in a building far remove from a flood zone.  A private cloud is typically a virtual hardware configuration were by multiple servers have multiple copies of the same applications or data information stored at one physical location perhaps inside a server room.  Business needs to weight the benefits of backing up their data to a public cloud specifically designed to protect important information in the event of a catastrophic event where buildings flood or get destroyed.
